Samsung Unveils 4GB moviMCP Memory Chip for Mobile Phones

Samsung announced that it has developed a 4GB MCP (Multi-Chip Package) memory chip for mobile phones, featuring an embedded moviNAND memory solution compatible with all types of NAND memory without requiring extra interface software designs. Also dispensing with the need for an external slot, Samsung's new moviMCP includes a 4GB memory card, 1Gb mobile DRAM chip, and a 2Gb NAND flash chip, which can provide a total memory capacity of 35Gbs. Sampling of the new moviMCP is already available for OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturing) makers.
